The Competition in Life is You vs You....

Life is a competition i agree..but i think most people channel their act of competing the wrong way. The Only person i feel we should be competing with is the person we were the previous day. Instead of being in an unhealthy competition with friends and family and tearing each other every minute and second to the day why not channel that energy into actually becoming something great and different and also positive that the person you were yesterday, last week or even few minutes ago. why not support your friends and build a great network of successful people in your close circle who would  offer you great advice, business connections, opportunities and services should the need arise and also people who would promote you for no extra cost than because they know that you also promote them and that that they can also rely on you to act selflessly towards them. No man is an island and no one not even the prophets of God Almighty ever became successful in whatever mission was given them to them alone.You need a team and a network. So if you spend half of your time bringing down the same people that can help you you are invariably killing yourself and you might never become as successful as you want. It would pay you more to support your friends than to spend hours of valuable energy tearing them down or badmouthing their products and services that they offer. If you have a constructive criticism for their work though feel free to drop it in the best way possible that it doesn't come off wrong because most times it isn't what you said but how you said it....Till i write again keep updating your YOU version...

                                                   

Poem Monday Episode one

I am taking my blogging a little more serious now that i have a generous amount of free time on my hand so i would be dropping poems an Monday that i have written or maybe i like and read somewhere...but with credits of course. For the first episode i would be sharing with you a poem i titled............                         DEAR MISS LITTLE SUNSHINE.......................hope you enjoy it...
                                                    

Hey little miss sunshine

where is everything that once shined?

Gone with the wind i guess 

or turned to ashes by him

did you forget that all that glitters isn't gold?

or you were to busy picking stones instead of sliver

now you cry a river and wished you listened

when it rained STOP and everyone screamed Don't go there

How are we raising our boys.....

So Growing up as a girl or a lady, you start to get being told what you are, what you should do, what you can't do also what to wear and what not to wear but on the flip side no body is doing so much to tell the boys what they can do and can not do and so a girl grows up as this put together person but then meets this boy who had a lot of privileges and has no one to put him right..Lately there has been so much awareness as to empowering the woman, woman meetings here and there but yet the most crimes in the country are still being committed by men doesn't that tell us that there is something wrong and that we ought to start working on our boy child too? there so much talk as to girls education and so much is being achieved as well and the result is more ladies now know what is due to them and what is meant to be educated and empowered but my fear now is, this same model isn't been replicated towards the male child and so when this educated strong ladies grow up they either unfortunately end up with this men who haven't been taught how to be men or they end up alone because they refuse to settle for less? For this to change mothers and fathers have to do more in raising our boys and the society has to start to think of duplicating this models being used in raising girls to raise boys as well so we can have a balanced society in all....
